When we first heard Bullets by Birmingham four piece EDITORS we were smitten and it was simple, they had to be on Speak n Spell. They formed in mid 2003 and with nods to some classic pop bands of the eighties, R.E.M, Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen and not forgetting Bowie, the band honed an identifiably English presence.

We can hear some of our favourite newer bands like Radiohead and Doves too. Editors have a timeless sound focused on the grand themes of love, loss and redemption. Their debut album The Backroom has already gone top 5 on the UK album charts. It was released in July 2005 to critical acclaim around the UK / Europe and Australia, fingers crossed that they'll be gracing our shores again soon!
