Kid Sam on tour

Kid Sam are an incredible band. For only two people they such rich and beautiful noise. If you close your eyes you'd be convinced there was ten people on stage. Their self titled debut album has just been re-released. Last year saw them undertake their first national support with Newcastle's Firekites. They hit the road again with Jack Ladder and one more time with Philadelphia Grand Jury. After playing support to Daniel Johnston and undertaking the full national Laneway tour in January Kid Sam are set to head out on their own with some of seriously cool support bands.

Taking in most of the shows are Sydney's own Deep Sea Arcade. I'm sure by now you are well aware of their tracks Don't Be Sorry and Lonely In Your Arms. JJJ have given them both a slamming and rightly so, they rule. Also on all the dates are Melbourne's Seagull that features Kid Sam's one and only Kishore Ryan!

On top of all of this in Melbourne they have two very special guests in Batrider and Mick Turner! Yes that's right Mick Turner is playing a solo show. His solo shows are brilliant and not to be missed.

Check out this artwork I like it and also check out Kid Sam in Aus over the next two months.

Currently there seems to be a reoccurring theme in the music industry that the more members you have in a band the better you sound. (I'd blame the Animal Collective for this fad). I've seen so many bands that fall into this category and fail. So it is refreshing to see a two piece that not only sound as full as a large scale band but also remain unique in creativity. Sometimes less is more.
